The Philosophy

Work with the nervous system, not against it

The Rosa Banks philosophy believes that many neurodivergent children need a different style of parenting to thrive — one that works with, rather than against, the sensitivities of the neurodivergent nervous system.

Rather than focusing on controlling behaviour, we focus on understanding what behaviour is telling us, creating the conditions in which children feel safe to learn, and adapting our approach to fit the child, not the other way around.

We believe that when children feel understood, accepted and emotionally safe, they are far more likely to develop the confidence, independence and life skills they need over time.
